One Woman One Girl

October 15th marked the virtual launch of the One Woman One Girl Campaign in New York. GDW 2015 was a great platform for Schools Without Borders to launch our One Woman One Girl Campaign as it supports the UN Sustainable Developmental Goals (SDGs). One Woman One Girl Campaign encourages women around the world to invest in the lives of GIRLS! through philanthropy and volunteerism during critical stages of their development.

The GIRLS! Project utilizes a public health approach to early grade literacy as a tool to reduce the social determinants of health such as poverty, education and health inequities, and gender discrimination. GIRLS! provides new books that meet common core standards to girls in targeted age ranges from birth to third grade/class three. A group of 20 dedicated participants participated in the online campaign.
