Hosted by the Haitian Hometown Associations Resource Group (HHTARG), on October 15, 2014 as part of Global Diaspora Week, this online roundtable session outlined the goals and objectives around the 2014 Haitian Diaspora Investment and Engagement Research Program. This program is a collaborative effort between HHTARG and local communities and businesses in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago and Miami. This program seeks to generate and disseminate learning about Diaspora investment and its role in development to assist policymakers, NGOs, Diaspora entrepreneurs and organizations, and researchers.
During the online discussion, HHTARG shared details of the program including partners and events. Events in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago and Miami were outlined and attendees were given dates and details for each location. About the HHTARG: Founded in 2008, the Haitian Hometown Associations Resource Group (HHTARG) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation whose main purpose is to link the diaspora with Haiti to achieve development. HHTARG supports organizations working in and for Haiti while strengthening relationships between the international donor community, financial players, and government actors for the purpose of development initiatives in Haiti.
