Greeks Gone West is a pioneering program, currently on its second season, which depicts life in the U.S. through the work experiences of a score of people with roots in Greece. Greece is in a period of severe economic hardship, and there is considerable public interest in the world of work in the U.S., including but not limited to entrepreneurship and innovation. The series was born of our desire to highlight the world of work in the U.S. and to leverage Greece’s talented diaspora in the U.S., making it a perfect fit to be a part of GDW 2015!
We knew that featuring Americans of Greek descent would make more Greeks tune in. With a heavy focus on the artistic and visual element, we are very proud to showcase the work of 20 unique and talented individuals of Greek descent; a reality fashion show contestant, a Disney animation director, Hollywood screenwriters, a YouTube strategist, a CNN producer, artists, a priest and even a surfer are among a few featured in this year’s Greeks Gone West.
