On October 14th, our Diaspora Information Day campaign was organized by The Office of State Minister of Georgia for Diaspora Issues, in cooperation with Robakidze University and our partner organizations including: International Organization for Migration (IOM), Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Ministry of Internally Displaced persons, Ministry of labor, health and social affairs, Secretariat to the State Commission on Migration Issues, International Center for Migration and Policy Development (ICMPD). We strategically showcased important materials on diaspora programs, discussed key migrants re-integration projects and services in a very public area to draw attention to these issues.
The day was also accompanied by a folk music and dances, and lunch reception for GDW participants. We signed an MOU with a local university, who joined our coalition to strengthen diaspora engagement activities.
